Forum on the Macroeconomics of Green and Resilient Transitions

The Annual Forum on the Macroeconomics of Green and Resilient Transitions brings together economic policymakers and applied economic modelers and analysts to work together on the information and evidence base needed for green and resilient economic transitions. The Forum provides an opportunity for Ministries of Finance and other economic decision makers to present their needs, and for the analytical community to showcase methods and data that might meet these challenges, while serving as a venue to discuss ways that these communities can better collaborate.

The 2nd Annual Forum on the Macroeconomics of Green and Resilient Transitions will bring together economic policymakers and applied economic modelers and analysts – from Ministries of Finance and Economy, development banks, universities, and think tanks – to work together on the information and evidence base needed for green and resilient economic transitions. The Forum offers Ministries of Finance and other economic decision makers a platform to present their challenges, needs, and asks; it provides an opportunity for the analytical community to showcase methods and data in response, in diverse circumstances; and it serves as a venue to discuss ways that these communities can better collaborate.

The Inaugural Forum was held in April 2024 and was attended by over 120 experts, senior officials, policymakers, and modelers, including more than 45 representatives from over 20 Ministries of Finance. The Forum was co-hosted by the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action and the Bezos Earth Fund and co-organized by the United States Department of the Treasury and Danish Ministry of Finance, with support from the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment.
